Diminishing returns for me, basically, but don't get me wrong, I would've loved a carbon fiber Akro haha But yeah I'm guessing with all this I should be sitting at about 53-54hp when it's done, as well as weighing in at 355-360lbs wet and ready with a full tank. So yeah, thoughts? What's your setup, what changed, and how did your acceleration improve at the bottom and top ends of your bike?ĭecided on the Hindle and K&N because, for my budget, the extra money on other exhausts and air filters would potentially give me wasn't worth the extra hundreds it'd cost for the. It honestly goes plenty fast for how I ride, I just really want extra top end torque and power on the freeway to dart around the lanes when merging with 80mph traffic. I'd much rather put $1100 into the 400 and make it even more fun for at least another year or two. Some of my friends are calling me crazy for tuning my nearly 20k mile Ninja 400 but everything else I can buy for $5k (if I sold it) is either too old, ugly, uncomfortable, or all of the above. Being able to have extra pull above 7k would make me feel a lot safer.

One thing that really makes me want the tune is better top end power for when I'm on the freeway with all the traffic out here. What kind of measurable performance gains did you see? Acceleration, top end power, etc. So I've already bit the bullet, my parts are on the way, but I'm just curious what everyone's experience has been with tuning their 400 and if it was worth it to you?
